Welcome to this new section which I will use to try and show my own personal journey through life with IBS

But please note from here on in this new section is all about My PERSONAL life with IBS, My PERSONAL beliefs and experiences. I am not qualified to teach anyone anything about IBS or the Fodmap way. Nor am I trained in anything to do with running or fitness, again this is all from My own PERSONAL experiences and what I have done so far along my journey and what I will continue to do so throughout my life.

The journey through IBS can be a tricky one, so much to get used to in a time when all you want is to feel good about yourself and alleviate the symptoms and pains.

There is a lot of help out there if you search for it but at the end of the day, us sufferers are all different, no two cases are the same, no two days are the same for many of us. So we seek help when and where we can find it.

I have been really lucky in my journey in that I found the info & help I needed pretty quickly and actioned the solutions relatively stress free. I guess I am lucky in the fact that im a single man who doesnt have to look after his family and have to make multiple meals for multiple family members, day in day out. Im lucky that I only have myself to cater for and that I can afford the time and expense of only eating fresh foods that I cook and source myself .... my safe guard.

At the start of my journey I was introduced to the Fodmap way of life ... a revolutionary way of eating things that dont trigger off our symptoms, after an initial round of testing foods and really being careful of what goes into our systems. If your lucky you can get through this with little fuss but thats not always the case.

There is help out there though ..

The IBS Network is the first place you should really check out. They are the professional team that you need to help you through this stage of your diagnosis and will help you live your life with IBS.
